Author Spotlight

My friend and coauthor, Anat Eliraz is an incredibly talented writer! Her debut book, Jewels of Smoky Quartz is a phenomenal read with an amazing storyline.

Anat Eliraz was born in Israel, but spent a few years of her childhood in Singapore, where her love for fantasy started.

She describes her life as being quite normal, even though she has driven a tank and jumped out of an airplane!

Between being a mother to four, working as a physiotherapist in a neonatal intensive care unit and training in Martial Arts, she still finds time to write.

Anat loves to use double meanings and word games in her writing, allowing her readers to play along or double check themselves, as the story unfolds.

Jewels of Smoky Quartz is her first novel.

December 2018, it's raining outside and I can't sleep. My mind is wandering and I'm making up an imaginary movie scene in my head. I can vividly see my main character, down to the finest details of her facial expressions. I can hear the conversation taking place.I run it through my mind. Sometimes rewinding, sometimes whole scenes in slow motion.A few days later, I can't stop thinking about it. The idea is only getting stronger and stronger. So, I decide to write it down. Characters evolve, acquire names and personalities. Important details weave their way into the fabric of the story, as it all comes together to create Jewels of Smoky Quartz. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Hi. Welcome to my creative space, which is currently under construction as I write my novel. Stay tuned as I embark upon this journey.

BIO

I enlisted into the United States Army after graduating from high school in 1982 and served over 25 years various skills and levels of leadership, including within US Army Aviation as an Air Traffic Controller, US Army Air Defense Artillery on the 20mm Vulcan Short Range Air Defense Cannon, and in support of the US Army Recruiting Command. I retired from the US Army January of 2008, as a Command Sergeant Major and continued to serve as a defense contractor for the Recruiting Command and federal civil service employee within the US Army Medical Command's Strategic Communications Directorate as a Senior Management Analyst (GS-13), until being medically retired in 2013. I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and completed my undergraduate degree in history May of 2019. Currently, I am applying my degree and over 31 years of military and government experience in writing an epic post-apocalyptic military science fiction series. My lovely wife, Tiffany and I, along with our wonderful kids, granddaughters, and our Shetland Sheep dogs (Shelties) live in Marion, Texas.
